Peer Review Policy

The GCIT Journal of Information Technology (GCIT-JIT) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.

Review Process

  1. Submission Screening: All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure that the paper fits the journal’s scope and follows the submission guidelines.
  2. Plagiarism Check: Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection tools to verify originality.
  3. Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  4. Review Outcome: Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editorial team may make one of the following decisions:
    1.  Accept the manuscript
    2. Accept with minor revisions
    3. Request major revisions
    4. Reject the manuscript
  5. Revision and Final Decision: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments. The final decision on publication is made by the Editor.
