Peer Review Policy
The GCIT Journal of Information Technology (GCIT-JIT) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.
Review Process
- Submission Screening: All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure that the paper fits the journal’s scope and follows the submission guidelines.
- Plagiarism Check: Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection tools to verify originality.
- Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
- Review Outcome: Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editorial team may make one of the following decisions:
- Accept the manuscript
- Accept with minor revisions
- Request major revisions
- Reject the manuscript
- Revision and Final Decision: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments. The final decision on publication is made by the Editor.
